A night dedicated to recognizing the bravery and sacrifice of our local veterans. This elegant event is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who have served our country, with special recognition for our Vietnam veterans in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
Enjoy an evening filled with inspiring stories, fine dining, and community spirit as we come together to pay tribute to our heroes and raise funds to support Welcome Home Military Heroes’ mission of honoring and assisting veterans.

Keynote Speaker
Dan Dow
We are honored to welcome Dan Dow, San Luis Obispo County District Attorney and decorated U.S. Army veteran, as the keynote speaker for this year’s Veteran Gala.
A Bronze Star recipient and current Lieutenant Colonel in the California Army National Guard, Dan has served in both Iraq and Kosovo. As a career prosecutor, he has championed justice for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. He also played a pivotal role in launching the San Luis Obispo County Veterans Treatment Court, which helps rehabilitate veterans impacted by their military experiences.
Dan’s lifelong dedication to service—both in uniform and in public office—embodies the spirit of this event as we gather to honor those who have served our nation with courage and commitment.
